Math fractions of a number


In room 12 maths we have been working out
fractions of a number like for example:

1 ) 3 / 5 of 30 =

30 divided by 5 = 6 (1 / 5=6)

6 x 3 = 18
3 / 5 of 30 is
(Answer 18)


2 ) 2 / 3 of 33 =  (working out)  33 divided by 3 = 11 so
11 x 2 = 22

Answer = 22
